This work pays tribute to the American, British and French soldiers and sailors who, from August 15 to September 1, 1944, risked and sometimes gave their lives so that the people of Provence at the time were finally free. It is above all a tribute paid to the Americans of the VI Corps who came from the South of the United States and to all those belonging to the French troops rearmed and trained in North Africa, who constituted the bulk of the Army of the Liberation from 1943.
