Digital version of this book
Dear readers,
A page turns for Batailles Aériennes
The time has come for Batailles Aériennes to retire. This issue (number 113) is the first of the last four you will receive. The magazine will bow out with number 116, which will allow us to sell out and not disadvantage our loyal subscribers.
Why this discontinuation?
There are several reasons for this decision, but the main one is the growing difficulty in finding authors. Newcomers are not coming forward, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find writers capable of conducting sufficiently in-depth research to regularly contribute to our magazine. It is therefore time to know when to call it a day.
With 116 issues, twenty-nine years of existence, Batailles Aériennes, offers a very respectable collection of articles devoted to the aerial events of the Second World War. We would of course have liked to explore more recent periods, but this requires authors and an audience willing to follow us in these new areas.
The Future of Aviation: the Aircraft Special Editions
To continue sharing important topics, we have decided to postpone potential future articles to the Aircraft Special Editions. Although their publication will not be as regular as that of Batailles Aériennes, this will allow us to continue publishing rich and varied content.
A big thank you for your loyalty
I would like to warmly thank you for your unwavering support throughout these twenty-nine years. It is thanks to you that we have been able to offer you these 116 issues (there are still three left after this one!).
Enjoy reading this issue dedicated to the great Battle of the Marianas, as well as this summer.
Happy reading,
Michel Ledet
