IJN NAGATO CLASS BATTLESHIPS

The Nagato-class battleships were of little use during WW2 (as most of the battleships). They were in fact WW1 vintage dreadnoughts, widely modernized during the inter-war period. Nagato saw the end of the Pacific war, though in a damaged condition but Mutsu sunk accidentally in 1943, following an explosion in one of her ammunition magazine.
